Job description
You'll work on business-critical backend infrastructure, including services, data models, processing pipelines, asynchronous workflows, and evaluation loops. Your work will help convert fragmented, high-value data into more complete, transparent, and actionable insights.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can independently own complex systems, make sound architectural decisions, and drive projects from early design through reliable production deployment.
You'll join a high-performing, globally distributed team with experience from leading technology, data, and consulting companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs
• Own critical systems from architecture through production deployment
• Develop data models and pipelines for fragmented, high-value datasets
• Build asynchronous and event-driven processing workflows
• Improve system reliability, scalability, performance, and observability
• Design evaluation loops that measure system and product outcomes
• Work closely with product, data, and AI teams
• Make and communicate technical trade-offs clearly
• Investigate complex production issues and implement durable solutions
• Experiment with new approaches, measure results, and iterate quickly
• Surface risks and blockers proactively
• Contribute to engineering standards and technical direction

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience preferred
• Strong hands-on backend engineering experience
