Lead QA Engineer
Role summary
Join an early-stage mobile technology company building a highly interactive product with a rapid release cadence.
As Lead QA Engineer, you'll own quality across the full product stack, including iOS, Android, and backend systems. Every feature, variant, bug fix, and incident release will pass through QA before shipping.
This is not a manual-testing-only role. You'll need to understand what changed in the codebase, run test suites, work with CI/CD and release tooling, verify analytics events, and make fast but careful decisions when production fixes need to ship quickly.

• Full-time on-site role in Sofia, Bulgaria
• Five days per week on-site
• Mobile QA experience across both iOS and Android required

• Go / Golang familiarity is highly desirable

• Consultant, agency, and B2B setups are not suitable

Job description
You'll work across iOS, Android, and backend systems, ensuring that every feature, A/B variant, bug fix, tracking event, and incident fix is properly validated before release.
This is a hands-on QA role for someone who can read code, run test suites, work inside CI/CD and release tooling, and make good decisions quickly in a high-cadence startup environment.
Responsibilities
• Own quality across iOS, Android, and backend systems
• Test and evaluate every feature before release
• Validate A/B test variants and feature-flagged functionality
• Verify bug fixes before closure
• Verify analytics and tracking events
• Smoke-test incident fixes for rapid production release
• Run and interpret automated test suites
• Read application and backend code to understand changes
• Work directly with engineering throughout the release process
• Validate full-stack behavior across mobile clients and backend services
• Manage and improve QA workflows
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and release tooling
• Support mobile release processes using tools such as TestFlight and Play Console
• Track issues using modern bug-tracking systems
• Improve testing speed without compromising product quality
• Identify regression risks before release
• Help establish strong quality standards in a rapid-shipping environment
