Job description
We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join a newly established Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) and become a key specialist for the Internal Development Platform (IDP).
You will help design, develop, and extend cloud platform capabilities while supporting engineering teams across the organization. This role combines platform engineering, cloud architecture, technical advisory, infrastructure automation, and stakeholder collaboration.
You will play a critical role in shaping the platform strategy, defining reusable cloud components, and guiding project teams through cloud adoption and infrastructure decisions.
Responsibilities
• Design and maintain infrastructure stacks within Cycloid
• Build reusable platform components and service catalog entries
• Develop proof-of-concept and prototype cloud solutions
• Ensure security, reliability, and availability standards are met
• Produce and maintain operational documentation
• Advise teams on cloud provider and service selection
• Support solution architects and project managers
• Assist with onboarding and configuration of cloud accounts
• Investigate technical challenges and recommend solutions
• Participate in project and stakeholder meetings
• Coordinate platform changes and monitoring activities
• Support engineering teams with platform integrations
Required Skills
• 10+ years of AWS or Azure platform engineering experience
• 1+ year experience with sovereign cloud providers
• Minimum 6 months of hands-on Cycloid experience
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience designing cloud platforms and reusable services
• Strong cloud architecture skills
• Experience supporting enterprise engineering teams
• Strong documentation and governance experience
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Master's degree or equivalent qualification
• English B2 or higher
